The PbP HOUSE Wiki is provided to members of pbphouse.com for the purpose of creating, collaborating, and storing materials, primarily to support play-by-post roleplaying games on the pbphouse.com forum.
You can create any content you like with the PbP HOUSE Wiki. The most common sorts of content, however, will revolve around roleplaying games. Here are a few suggestions:
Allows you to create persistent content for your games, settings, or house rules. Your meta-game information is independent, rather than being tied to a specific forum or game. You can keep your setting, rules, and character information indefinitely, even if your game dies or is put on hold. You can link your content more easily from other pages on the Internet.
The Dokuwiki page format provides standards-compliant XHTML you can save and export to any other location. That means once you create your content, you can easily move it somewhere else whenever you want. If you want to export content from your game to another format or location, you won’t be required to convert from the less universally compatible bulletin board code, as you would on the forum.
Your content is protected from tampering in two ways on the PbP HOUSE Wiki: Members-only login and revision history. In other words, only members can change your content, and if they do, you can always revert to a previous version with no loss of data. The revision history can help players and GMs share the work in maintaining character sheets because the changes will always be traceable and verifiable.
You don’t need to wait for a PbP HOUSE staff member to set up an area for a game where you can create content. You can create the areas and pages you want on your own, right away.
Content is segregated by namespaces, which improves navigation, searching, and grouping of like pages.
Let’s face it, wikis are hot, and not too many other play-by-post sites have one. So, you can be the geek-envy of all your friends and be the first to use a play-by-post wiki.

You can create namespaces with any name you like within the user or common areas. For example, you might want to create a namespace with your user name or a game name. You can also create multiple levels of namespaces. For more information, or to create a namespace, see Namespaces.
The Playground is a built-in area of the wiki especially desinged to allow users to try out the wiki, formatting, syntax, and features without interfering with the experience of any other users. If you want to experiment with features and formatting, please do so in the playground area.
